Flexible Location - South West / M4 Corridor / Thames Valley - £100k+ package with equity opportunity

Equity opportunity for senior sales professional to join start-up management team to develop fledgling business into significant market player

The Role

The Sales Director will join this Software / SaaS start-up business, developing the next generation SaaS platform for the vocational training / education sector.

During this unique and exciting stage, you will work closely with the Founders to develop and deliver the early stage strategic, tactical sales and business plan. You will identify and target sector clients, implement sales strategy and build customer relationships to deliver target growth. You will play a central role in the successful launch and commercial development of the product, building and managing the field and telesales team in line with sales.

The Company

The client is a start-up business developing the next generation SaaS platform for the vocational training / education sector. Utilising the latest cloud technology, this software platform will provide a true end-to-end, integrated learner management and e-portfolio solution. It will enable training providers, employers and colleges to drive and maximise learner programmes - reducing administration, improving success rates and quality, and fully understanding learner progression.

The Government's 2020 Apprenticeship Strategy will drive unprecedented change in the sector and result in record levels of funding and business interest. Our client has a market-leading solution to help businesses maximise these new opportunities and provide a service with strong global appeal across the workplace education and training marketplace. The business is based in modern city centre offices, is very well-funded and the Founders have ambitious plans based on their extremely impressive track record and experience in the sector.

The Person

The ideal Sales Director will have the requisite sales ( SaaS / Software / Edtech etc. ) experience, a structured and tenacious approach to generating new business and the ability to sell to senior managers, business owners and stakeholders at all levels. You will be familiar with all aspects of the software and solutions sales cycle - and ideally of bringing new products / services to market in the vocational training / apprenticeship / education / edtech sector.
