Due to continuous growth in the North of England our client are looking to grow their MEP Design and Sustainability sector. They are looking for a Senior to Associate level Mechanical Design Engineer to join their North East office.
About the role
* As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will provide the complete engineering design supervision.
* You will also be responsible for the day to day management of a team of engineers and providing mentoring and supporting their career progression.
* Projects include healthcare, commercial, industrial and residential.
What you will do:
* Responsible for creating design briefs and performance specifications
* Management of multiple projects, including design management.
* Management, development and sign off of all the following: Feasibility studies; single/multi-discipline detailed design; site supervision; construction site duties; Contract administration; Cost advice; Maintenance audits; Planned Maintenance works
* Production of energy reports in support of sustainable engineering
Your experience:
* HNC/HND or Degree
* Chartered membership (or working towards) of an appropriate professional body
* Familiarity with CIBSE guides; Building Regulations and current good practice.
* Proficient in appropriate IT tools i.e. Microsoft Office; AutoCAD, Heavacomp.
* Awareness of the requirements of a BIM level 2 environment.
* Good communication skills with both clients and end users are essential
* High level of professional report writing and presentation skills
* Both commercial and financial awareness
