My client, a charming two form entry primary school are seeking a enthusiastic graduate who is looking to commit to a teaching assistant role for the academic year to gain valuable school based experience before commencing teacher training. This teaching assistant role would also suit a Psychology graduate with aspirations to build a career in Educational/clinical psychology.

This Hackney primary school is an ideal environment for graduates who are beginning their career within primary teaching. Each year the Head teacher looks to take on a handful of graduates who can commit to this primary school teaching assistant role for at least the academic year and wish to take full advantage of the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an Ofsted outstanding primary school.

The school are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate who is looking to gain that much needed school based experience before beginning teacher training. To be considered for this teaching assistant role you will need to be a recent graduate, with child related experience. You may have gained this experience a number of ways such as overseas teaching, youth work, voluntary school work, tutoring, sports coaching....

As a teaching assistant you will be working within a year 1 class where you will be working alongside the class teacher supporting the pupils in the class in a general capacity. The successful graduate will be working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis covering all areas of the national curriculum.
