A very exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen, for a Design Manager, with a Top Tier Contractor based in Cardiff. The brand sells itself and they are regarded as one of the most ethical, reliable and common sense contractors operating in the UK and abroad.
The Job:
They are looking for a Design Manager who can come in and work on a multitude of interesting projects. Their continued commitment to sustainable growth in all areas means they currently have live projects in retail, commercial, leisure, industrial and education, to name a few. You will directly benefit from this diverse portfolio as they look to provide you with as broad a range of project experience as possible. Reporting directly into the Senior Design Manager you will gain exposure to both tenders and live schemes and given the opportunity to pick up skills and experience you didn't previously have.
What will you do?
Day to day you will be expected to manage the design process at both tender and live stage. You will progress design issues within a strict timescale & ensure designers meet information delivery dates. You will look to fully investigate value engineering and value creation opportunities and drive innovative and cost effective solutions into the design on some of the most iconic projects in South Wales.
I am looking for a driven and knowledgeable Design Manager who would be able to hit the ground running in this role.
