HR Business Partner - Blackburn

Chubb is recruiting a CIPD Qualified HR Business Partner who will be based out of our Blackburn Shared Service Centre. Your client population of c500 employees are based predominantly in the North West and Midlands and so occasional travel will be required.

The role will entail working as a key member of the HR team, providing significant commercial HR support in an environment where service delivery is paramount, offering HR advice spanning all areas, to resolve queries and issues in a professional and efficient manner.

As the Human Resource Business Partner, you will work closely with the senior management team in the functions, giving "hands-on" operational HR advice on employee relations, recruitment, selection, coaching, management development and more complex issues such as TUPE, business transformation and organisational change.

You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm to meet the challenges of a fast moving environment, to adopt a lateral approach to problem solving, combined with energy and drive. You will be used to large workloads, able to react quickly and positively to change and have experience of working in a matrix environment. You will support line managers, implement progressive HR initiatives and develop their businesses.
Ideally you will be Degree educated but certainly CIPD Qualified and you will already have developed your HR career within a large matrix driven organisation; particularly supporting Finance, and Supply Chain and field based communities, such as engineering. You will have utilised your commercial skills to assist your employers in delivering to financial objectives and be comfortable in working within a change driven environment

You will possess excellent written & verbal communication skills, a pragmatic & flexible working style, sound commercial acumen and a positive attitude. You will also be highly IT Literate with excellent Excel skills and the ability to deliver results in a fast paced, performance and "data hungry" KPI driven, demanding environment.

Day to day responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining systems for monitoring, measuring and reporting on HR activities, working with managers to ensure that HR Best Practice is undertaken, participating in all employee relation issues, working with the Business Practice Officer to investigate any ethical issues or conflicts of interest, liaising with the union representatives and regional Works Councils, working with the UK Recruitment Team, supporting the Regional Managing Director to review productivity, resource management, headcount and employment costs, supporting the salary review & employee performance feedback processes, taking ownership of "ACE" projects and regularly project, integration and change management related duties.
