Based on the beautiful Yorkshire Coast our College's Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) project has an exciting opportunity to appoint 2 x Assessors to provide excellent facilitation of teaching, learning and outstanding assessment practices for learners.
A work based learning role, the Assessor will develop employer relationships to address skills shortages of their employees within the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership (The LEP) region through the SSW project which is funded through the European Social Fund (ESF).
The Assessor will be responsible for employer liaison, recruitment, induction, employer and employee reviews, supervision and progress tracking of learners on accredited and non-accredited programmes which aims to provide employees with the opportunities to develop the skills that will allow them to progress in employment.
Qualified in Level 3 / 4 qualification in relevant vocational subjects (Health & Social Care, Construction and Engineering, Food manufacturing, Visitor Economy) GCSE A-C English and maths qualifications or equivalent, Level 2 ICT, Assessor qualification, PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification and internal verification qualification.
You will have specialist knowledge in the delivery and assessment of NVQs / QCF qualifications and functional skills; particularly knowledge and understanding of the ILR for SFA/EFA/ESF. You will be competent in the use of IT, be flexible and adaptable and have excellent organisational and administrative skills
These roles are dependent upon successful outcomes of ESF project applications to the Skills Funding Agency. The posts are fixed term for 18 months with a salary of £23,000, subject to qualifications and industrial experience.
