Registered Manager - Temporary

Are you: A RGN or dual RGN / RMN qualified Registered Manager with experience in Dementia?

Our client needs you to manage and lead their EMI Nursing Home on a temporary basis. You must have a wide range of experience, be a self-starter and be focused on excellent care delivery. You must be able to develop positive relationships with external stakeholders such as CQC, Social Services and the local Safeguarding team; and also motivate and develop staff.

The Home has 50 beds, provides nursing and residential care to the over 65s, specialising in challenging behaviour, Dementia, and other complex mental and physical care needs. It is a lovely Home set in beautiful large gardens.

This is an exceptional opportunity that will be both challenging and rewarding. You will need to hit the ground running but you will have the chance to reinvigorate the Home; and this may lead to a permanent appointment. The raising of standards; and the development of the ethos and culture is an essential part of this role.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Promoting positive and Person-Centred Care for all Residents.
- Managing risk appropriately and safely.
- Leading and developing staff across all functions (clinical and non-clinical).
- Ensuring all staff are trained to the required levels.
- Managing of audits and governance structures; ensuring a culture of "analyse, review and improve".
- Safe recruitment and selection of staff.
- Employee relations, including staff communications, managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances and sickness.

The Ideal Candidate
- Will have strong understanding of care service and delivery within a Nursing Home; with an in-depth knowledge and awareness of complex clinical issues.
- Will have a resilient character, with high standards of probity and integrity.
- Strong leadership skills in managing and motivating large teams of people.

Essential Criteria
- RNMH or dual RMN/RGN Registration
- Minimum of 5 Years' experience managing a Nursing Home or similar, dealing with mental health conditions and Dementia.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CQC and experience of meeting all CQC and Social Services requirements.
