Assembly & Workshop Assistant – Window Treatments
Wandsworth, London (with travel to customer sites, primarily in central London)
Up to £20,000 DOE Plus Childcare Vouchers & Pension

If you’re a hands-on individual with experience of using power tools, this is a great opportunity to develop your career with a forward-thinking business.

Our client is recruiting on behalf of a long-established provider of bespoke soft furnishings for luxurious living spaces. They are now looking for a number of Assembly & Workshop Assistants with varying levels of experience to join their Installations Team.

As an Assembly & Workshop Assistant, you will be responsible for assembling the company’s range of Roman blind head rails and other hardware.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll prepare and inspect items and liaise with the Manufacturing and Project Teams to ensure that a high quality service is delivered.

You will also support on-site installations by conducting initial site surveys, producing measures of work and assisting with fitting projects.

As part of your role, you will be required to travel to customer sites, primarily in central London, but with some travel throughout the UK.

What’s more, there may be the opportunity to assist with international projects in the future, meaning you can tick some locations off your travel bucket list as you work.

Interested? To be considered, you must have experience of using power tools in a hands-on, manual role. A strong work ethic and good communication skills are also key.

As an Assembly & Workshop Assistant, you must be highly organised with a great eye for detail and a methodical approach. You must also have the focus and determination to produce high quality work.

Experience of assembling blinds, tracks or pelmets would be beneficial to your application, as would any carpentry or shop fitting experience. Previous experience of fitting window treatments in a commercial or residential environment would also be an advantage.
