Quality Manager, Mid Cornwall
Salary cGBP30,000 doe
Quality Manager required in Mid Cornwall to join a company where its people are one of its unique strengths thus providing service that is prompt, reliable and loaded with added-value.
Purpose of the Quality Manager Role:
To contribute to the growth of the company and increase profitability by
• Managing and controlling the Quality, Health and Safety Documentation systems and reporting their effectiveness to the Business
• Managing and implementing improvements in the Quality and Management and Health and Safety Systems
• Modelling the Company's Quality objectives at all times
Principal Accountabilities will include:
• Reviewing and auditing the Quality Management, Health and Safety and Document Control systems and ensure that the processes are implemented, monitored and maintained
• Prepare, issue maintain and control all Health and Safety documentation
• To act as the Designated Management Representative for ISO9001
• To liaise with internal functions, customers, supplier and approval body on Quality issues in order to implement agreed improvement projects
• Model and promote the Company's Quality objectives for LEAN processing and general improvement at all times, liaising with other functions as required
• Reporting to the Business on the effectiveness of the Quality Management and Health and Safety systems and areas targeted for improvement
• To provide training in support of Quality, Health and Safety and improvement activities
• To be responsible for all aspects of Quality Control
• To manage all customer complaints and returns, investigate defects, assess non-conformities and apply preventative and corrective actions
You will need:
• Previous experience within a Quality Manager role within manufacturing, preferably with an electrical and/or electronics bias
• Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety management
• To be able to demonstrate strengths on leading and managing a quality systems model related to objectives for LEAN processing
• Demonstrate a customer centric focus with strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication
• To be able to demonstrate that you have proven ability to set examples for your own department in areas of commitment, organisational skills and work habits
• To be able to demonstrate the ability to interact and co-operate with all company employees and be aware of the pastoral requirements of managing staff
IOSH and/or NEBOSH would be very desirable for this role
