Gleeson Recruitment Group are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Clerk for our client based near Market Drayton on a 12 month fixed term contract.
As an experienced Payroll Clerk the role will be to ensure the provision of an efficient, confidential and accurate payroll service
Payroll Clerk duties will include the following:-
* High volume payroll processing, within an established team
* Supporting the administration of high volume weekly & monthly paid employees across two companies including part month and manual calculations
* Ensuring compliance within corporate controls, procedures and statutory obligations, including the processing of starters, leavers, SSP, SMP
* Accurately updating and maintaining employee records and other payroll duties as required
* Dealing with general queries from employees at all levels and external bodies, explaining difficult/sensitive issues in a calm and effective manner
* Ensuring support time & attendance systems, shift exceptions on a daily basis are updated
Payroll Clerk key skills:-
* A proven operational understanding of all aspects of current UK payroll legislation ideally as an experienced Payroll Clerk.
* Past experience working in a busy payroll environment, supporting high volume administrative tasks and flexible approach to support payroll cycle.
* Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise own workload whilst working in a busy, pressurised environment
Package:-
This Payroll Clerk role will be available on a 12 month fixed term contract to ideally start as soon as possible.
Working Monday to Friday; hours are 9am-5pm
Salary GBP20,000 - GBP23,500 dependant on experience
