GBP21k Salary -Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm, excellent benefits

The aim of the role is to design and create specifications for a variety of products.
You will have to:
• To understand the chemistry of our formulations and relevant test data.
• To ensure Customer Technical Specifications are fully complete, accurate and available to the Customer when required during the product launch process.
• To compile accurate Customer Technical Specifications and any associated documentation, such as quality attribute sheets, for designated products/accounts.
• To liaise with appropriate staff to ensure that all details in the above specifications are relevant, correct and up to date.
• To manage the prioritisation of specification completion to ensure documentation is available when required.
• To ensure all retailer technical web based systems are maintained with Company data as required by the account teams.
• Review emails in company &SDS public folders to send to relevant department for auctioning or respond to directly if a technical request.
• To create & supply SDS / CPIS on consumer & customer request.
• To liaise directly with NPIS, providing details of finished products and chemical components as required.
• To ensure that health, safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times via maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• To generate and maintain procedures and work instructions for the area.
• To maintain confidentially at all times.
• Contribute as part of a successful team.
• To play an active part in continuous improvement within the department
You will have:
GCSE/A level in chemistry, also GCSE in English, Mathematics.
• Basic knowledge of household or personal care products, methods of manufacture, testing methods, BRC and raw materials.
• Must hold a current driving licence
Would be an advantage to have:
Chemistry degree
• Understanding of retailer web based technical systems.
• Understanding of SAP and business warehouse.
• Must be able to prioritise their workload and deal with several jobs at once.
• Customer knowledge awareness of different retailer requirements.
• Self-motivated and committed to department and its goals.
• Determined character, with well-developed communication skills, (both written & oral) with good interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management with a methodical and logical approach to tasks.
• High capacity for detail handling with awareness of importance of attention to detail.
• Sets an example to be followed demonstrating honesty and reliability
