Lead Driller Cable Percussive

We are looking for a Lead Cable Percussion Driller for our busy Geotechnical Investigations Department in London to undertake drilling duties within the rail environment. The role of Lead Driller is a senior position of responsibility within the site teams directly reportable to the Associate Director of the department. The role will require attendance at sites and meetings across the UK, periods away from home are required as a part of the role. You will be expected to represent the company at all times in a professional manner.
Main Duties and Activities:
Undertake Cable Percussion and dynamic sampling as required.
Provide detailed reports of drilling operations and site progress on a daily basis.
Carry out daily/weekly/monthly plant maintenance checks and report on any health and safety issues.
Liaise with Project Engineers for scope of works and drilling requirements on a job by job basis.
Liaising with clients, contractors and general public.
Any other duties consistent with the job description that may be required from time to time.
All other business so as deemed reasonable by the Directors of the company.
Qualifications/Experience Required
At least three years relevant experience.
NVQ Level 2, Land Drilling.
PTS would be an advantage but not essential as full training would be provided.
Preferably be CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme), but not essential.
Good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel packages.
A full clean driver's licence valid in the UK with at least two years driving experience.
C1+E towing licence would be an advantage but not essential as full training would be provided.
