Primary School looking for an LSA with SEN Experience
Have you specialized in SEN or do you have a background/interest in SEN?
A school in Torfaen are looking for a member of staff to work 1:1 with a child with challenging behaviour. The position will be full time, 5 days a week, and running until at least December 2016. You will be working with a pupil who has ADHD, EBD and ASD as well as other special educational needs. We are looking for an individual with patience, understanding and consideration of the pupils' needs, as well as the skills required to educate and support the pupil through their education.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to build upon existing experience, or for someone who has previous experience with SEN, has recently qualified and is trying to decide if SEN is the career path they want to follow.
Knowledge and training in BSL, Makaton and Team Teach would be an advantage, but not essential. Ultimately, you must also be able to ensure the pupils' personal care and needs are met.
