EHCP Officer / SEN officer - Local Authority - London
Special educational needs - SEN officer - EHC Coordinator - ECHP -
An exciting new opportunity for a EHCP/ SEN officer within the area of London. My Client is looking to appoint a post 16 Special Educational Needs Officer on an Interim basis to support the team in order to coordinate outcomes for people with Special Educational Needs.
You will be responsible for drafting EHC plans and supporting transfers of Statements to EHCP including facilitating the Transfer Reviews.
You will work towards key deliverables within statutory deadlines, ultimately adhering to statutory legislation such as SEN Code of Practice (2001) and Children and Families Acts (2014). Educational Health Care (EHC) plans transfer experience is key for this role
During this role you will frequently liaise with internal and external professionals such as Head teachers alongside parents and families.
Requirements of this position include:
-Experience as SEN Officer / EHC coordinator in a local authority setting
-Knowledge of relevant frameworks and legislation
-DBS Check
