QUENSH Compliance Engineer
Job description
Our client, a specialist heavy engineering, fabrication and welding manufacturer serving large scale project work, are looking to appoint a Compliance Engineer to be responsible for Quality, Heath and Safety and Environmental compliance within it's operation, reporting directly to the Operations Director.

Overall Job Purpose:

Ensure product and process quality standards are maintained and continually reviewed for improvement opportunities.
Management of the Company??s Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety certification approvals

Key tasks and responsibilities

Verify that quality standards are understood and achieved. Carry out auditing activities on the Company????s procedures, continually reviewing all procedures and activities for improvements Promote operator quality awareness and responsibility.
Certification Approval
Co-ordinate the management of the Company????s accredited approvals, ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14000 Environmental Management, EN18000 Health and Safety, and Investors in People scheme Ascertain and introduce modifications to the Company????s operating procedures and activities in line with audit recommendations and standard amendments
Product / Process Quality
Develop Quality related documentation to detail process quality requirements Liaise with Production re quality requirements for forward orders Carry out random in-process inspection activities as and when required Conduct final quality audits as and when required Visiting customers to discuss and assist in any related quality aspects Provide customers with quality related documentation Visiting and advising suppliers of the required quality standards, continually seeking improvements / alternative materials / services Assist with defining and inputting controls for verifying acceptable quality standards of received materials / services from suppliers. Prepare and develop Quality Plans
Motivate and encourage all personnel. Identify and organise operator training and development. Assist in the introduction in total flexibility in terms of production skills and functions.
Health And Safety
Prepare and develop Risk Assessments Ensure Operator safety. Implement and achieve acceptable housekeeping standards. Conduct Health and Safety Audits both internal and external
To assist other Company employees and carryout any activities in order to exceed customer requirements and expectations
