Job Title: Principal Analytics Consultant
Location: London
Salary: GBP70,000 - GBP90,000 + bonus & benefits
Niche analytics consultancy in London has opportunities for experienced analytics candidates to join their growing team.
The Role
You will provide credit risk and analytics services to lenders, debt purchasers, private equity firms and funds, along with wider analytics and data insight capability across these and other sectors.
• Provide strong leadership to successfully deliver projects for clients:
o Understand client requirements, define project approach and develop detailed plan to deliver successful solution
o Manage and direct team of analysts/consultants in delivery of tasks
o Remove/ workaround bottlenecks in the project through creative solutions
o Take decisions on changes to the direction of the project
o Provide leadership by example to team members
• Add value by:
o Finding innovative solutions to client issues
o Conducting detailed analysis to support decision making
o Focus on enhancing the reputation of the company through quality of the deliverables of the whole team
• Identify and own new solution developments or enhancements to existing services
• Team management including coaching, identifying development and training needs, providing effective feedback
Candidate Profile
• Ability to autonomously lead projects in risk management, ensuring quality control of deliverables
• Expertise in using analytical skills to gain business advantage
• Hands on experience of different analysis, modelling and forecasting techniques and common challenges
• Excellent knowledge of SAS and Excel
• Exceptional numeracy and analytical skills
• Experienced across the credit risk cycle (underwriting, pricing, portfolio management, customer profitability, collections and recoveries, fraud), with expertise in at least two of these areas
