Our Charities and education team is ambitious, dynamic and is growing its national footprint. We are looking for someone equally ambitious, who is competent and enthusiastic in their approach, with a passion for the charities and education sectors. If you may be the person we are looking for, then read on to find out more about this exciting opportunity and get in touch with us to discuss your future at Bond Dickinson.

The Charities and education team at Bond Dickinson is one of the few nationally dedicated charities legal teams and we're proud to be ranked as leaders in this field, across the UK. The team acts for a diverse range of clients including service providers, grant makers, religious orders, housing associations, professional societies, independent schools, academies, social enterprises and more. Our advice spans a wide range of issues from governance and constitutional issues, through to trustees' duties and responsibilities, mergers, strategic partnerships, fundraising, trading and Charity Commission regulatory issues.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified lawyer to join our Newcastle office and to focus on the continued development of our practice across the North-East and beyond, whilst working with fellow specialists across the country. No two days will be the same. You will continue to develop your technical expertise through high quality work, with a combination of your own caseload and working as part of our wider team which is down to earth, straightforward, and great to work with. Experience within the Charities sector is not essential, but an interest is. It's your technical skills that we're more interested in. Much of our work for this sector is corporate in nature so you'll bring the technical expertise that you've already built in this area.

There will be plenty of opportunities for client contact and you will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships. The team has a clear vision and an appetite for growth and it's a great time to be joining us whether you're at the early stages of your career or further on in your development.

This is an exciting time to be joining the firm. We are ambitious and that is reflected in our vision, but we haven't lost sight of what is important to us, and that is our people. We are committed to your learning and development whether that is through structured development programmes, coaching or mentoring relationships. We want our people to enjoy long and successful careers with us and we think we have developed a culture that reflects that. You will be working with a talented and enthusiastic team who will be as invested in your career development as you are. You will be supported by a collegiate approach, a firm wide commitment to lawyer development, and mentoring and supervision by leaders in their field.

In return, you'll bring a broad and varied skillset that includes corporate or commercial expertise, exceptional drafting and communication skills and a commercial outlook. You'll need to be a robust and resilient lawyer, and willing to work in a fast paced environment with others who share the same passion for the charities and education sector as you do.

If this sounds like your next career move, we would love to hear from you.
