Field Service Engineer - Commercial Gas - North London - OTE GBP45k+ Bonus, Vehicle, On Call + Overtime.
Our client is a Manufacturer that has been established for over 35 years and are specialists in the Combustion field. They are currently looking for a traditional and experienced Combustion / Boiler Engineer to operate from the North London area and cover sites within the M25.
Job Role
To carry out commissioning, servicing and repair of Industrial, commercial and domestic installations (such as boilers, controls, renewables, hot water production & heat interface units) within a geographical area usually within 70 miles of home post code.
Commission, service or repair company supplied equipment in line with manufacturer's instructions and the prevailing regulations. Inspect the site and equipment for suitability to commission, service and repair the installed equipment.
Establish the general on-going performance of the supplied equipment in advance of conducting a service.
Completion of Engineers' report detailing the boiler's suitability for the installation and submission to the Service Office. Produce typed reports with accompanying photographic evidence as necessary.
Identification of risks associated with the supplied equipment, and repair or report as necessary in accordance with Gas Safe regulations.
Responsible for accurate recording and ordering of van stock.
Liaise with Service Office in relation to allocation of jobs. Provide feedback to the Field Service Manager to inform of the request to produce technical bulletins and support to all engineering staff. Liaise with the customer to establish the nature of repair issue as necessary.
Basic Requirements
Education Engineering apprenticeship (desirable).
Previous Experiences - Extensive experience in industrial, commercial and domestic gas and oil boiler maintenance is essential, including associated controls and BMS (Building Management Systems) strategies.

Gas Safe registered
ACS qualified in: CENWAT, CCN1, CPA1, CODNC01, TCP1 / TCP1A, BMP1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CCP1
Good understanding of on-site Health and Safety legislation
Good standard of verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable: LPG, OFTEC, CSCS, Experience of renewables, G3 unvented hot water,
Type of sites will be large Commercial buildings, Schools, Fire Stations, Public Buildings, Office blocks, Large Private Residence but Not Social Housing.
In return they will offer a competitive salary package which also includes private health cover, pension, training and a vehicle will be supplied. Salary will be negotiable but typically around GBP37k Plus performance related bonus, overtime and enhanced rates depending on experience OTE in excess of GBP45k.
