Role Summary:
We our looking for a Junior Accountant to join our client as soon as possible on an entry level role that provides the guidance and experience to be able to progress. The primary function of the Junior Accountant is to work alongside the Senior Accountant as well as other Junior Accountants and oversee the financial operation of this division. This will involve working with colleagues in other departments (including sales and payroll) to deliver this service to clients and take ownership of resolving any issues regarding VAT returns, statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and self-assessment tax returns.
Essential Duties
The role will encompass the following duties:
• Candidate must be AAT or ACCA qualified.
• Applying for VAT on behalf of contractors.
• Assisting with the automated process for accounts preparation, corporation tax return and VAT returns.
• Dealing with HMRC regarding any issues related to PAYE, Corporation tax, VAT and Self-Assessment.
• Assisting with the preparation of personal tax returns.
• Dealing with the closing of limited companies and cessation of any HMRC services.
• Clearing and actioning emails and client queries.
• Liaising with other departments to contact and communicate with contractors.
The successful candidate will also be able to:
• Ensure that all deliverables comply with regulatory guidance and professional standards.
• Provide assistance to the Finance Director
