An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a company based in Worcester that provides support on shared services (Finance & Accounting, HR, Health and Safety and Payroll) to a group of UK based companies focused on manufacturing building products. The Assistant Management Accountant will report to the Diretor of Finance and will be responsible for:
Production of monthly management accounts packs
Production of sales, stock, purchasing reports for month end reporting
Detailed understanding of standard costing in a manufacturing environment
Reconciling key control accounts, debtors, creditors, bank accounts etc.
Reconciliation of the finance facility
Assistance in preparing Statutory accounts
Preparing monthly journals
Processing reports for the Divisional Management Accountants and Director of Finance;
Daily and weekly invoicing and orders reports
Analysing areas of expenditure as required
Daily cash reporting
Monthly VAT returns
PAYE/CIS reconciliation and returns
Ad-hoc reporting as necessary
Preparing all daily sales, cash and performance reports for circulation to local and Group management
Loading daily invoices and credit notes to Finance Facility
Covering activities in the Transactional team - Credit Control and Purchase Ledger
The successful Assistant Management Accountant will have:
Accounting experience, profit and loss statements, balance sheet
AAT qualification or part CIMA qualified accountant
Access databases
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
IT skills - good working knowledge of excel spreadsheets preferably at the Intermediate level
Experience of working with ERP systems
System Implementation experience would be desirable but not essential
Full and clean driving licence
There will be occasional travel required to our manufacturing sites in St Helens and Hastings may be required to support specific financial activities, such as stock taking, audits etc.
