About Investment Banking & Capital Markets

Credit Suisse's Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) offer financial advisory and capital raising services to clients, including corporations, private equity firms, and governments. We specialize in innovative solutions, drawing on our global expertise from across the full spectrum of products: mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity underwriting, corporate derivative and other structured products.

The groups within IBCM are broadly categorized as:

Industry-focused Coverage Groups
These groups are based in London and cover clients in the following sectors: Industrials (including Diversified Industrials), European Energy Group (includes Power and Utilities, Oil and Gas), Consumer and Retail, Real Estate, Healthcare, Technology, Media and Telecoms, Financial Institutions Group.
Country Coverage Groups
In London, we have a dedicated team focused on coverage of our UK clients (UK IB). This team provides country coverage services and advice to our clients as well as Corporate Broking. We also have teams based in many of our European offices for example, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid and Amsterdam, focused on covering clients in those locations/regions.
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)
Credit Suisse's M&A group provides strategic advisory services to clients across a range of industries and countries. Our M&A team has extensive expertise in acquisitions, corporate sales, divestitures, joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, mergers, privatizations, proxy contests, recapitalizations, shareholder activism, spin-offs/split-offs, takeover defence and tax-advantaged structures.
Leveraged Finance and Sponsors Group (LFSG)
This group is responsible for delivering Credit Suisse's Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and M&A expertise to both our European Sponsor clients (and their portfolio companies) and to our corporate leveraged finance clients.
Capital Market Solutions Group (CMSG)
CMSG's highly skilled product origination and structuring bankers work in teams and coordinate with industry and country bankers to provide a single interface for all of the bank's capital markets, funding and structured products in order to address credit financing and advisory needs. CMSG product groups in EMEA include:
Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and includes Equity Corporate Finance
Equity Linked Solutions Group (ELSG) which includes convertible bonds
Debt Capital Markets and Derivatives Solutions Group (DCMDS)
About the Program

Our IBCM Autumn Paid Internship Program runs for 10 weeks, from October to December and is open to finalists, 2018 graduates, and post-graduates who are interested in gaining an insight into Investment Banking. Interns are assigned to a business group throughout the 10 weeks and are integrated as a regular member of the staff.

Join us and you'll become an important member of the team, while learning new skills and gaining valuable experience in the financial industry. You'll enjoy structured training, gain on-the-job practical experience and have the opportunity to network with representatives from across the business.

Team with a senior mentor and junior banker "buddy" who will provide career advice and overall guidance and receive formal mid- and end-of-program evaluations based on objectives identified at the beginning of your placement.

Degree Requirements

To be eligible, you will have completed or be due to complete a Bachelors, Masters or PhD qualification (or equivalent) in any discipline.

All applicants must be in their final year of study (during the academic year 2016-2017), be available for the full 10 weeks and able to start full-time employment in July 2018.
