Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Finance Administrator to join our team in Taunton.

Finance Administrator responsibilities:

In this role, you will be performing preparation and reconciliation of data and analysis in support of the Finance Business Partners for the South West Region of the Logistics Division. We are looking for someone who is able to work as a part of a close and functional team, with a keen eye for detail. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Finance Business Partners in preparation of detailed operational analysis and variance interrogation.
  • Supporting the Finance Business Partners in the collation and checking of monthly forecasts.
  • Assisting in the month end accounting process, to produce accurate and timely management accounts, in line with business timescales.
  • Supporting, review and challenge business performance.
  • Communicating effectively with staff at Logistics Units to ensure integrity of database and operational information.
  • Acting as escalation point for routine queries to ensure that they are resolved in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Undertaking data entry and reconciliation activities, ensuring that data entered in systems is accurate and complete.
  • Ensuring adherence to Viridor’s financial controls and approval processes.
  • Undertake additional or amended duties as appropriate to the post as may be required from time to time.
The ideal Finance Administrator:

In order to be successful for this role, you will need proven experience working within a Finance role, ideally supporting multi-site operations. You will also need:
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Proven experience in database interrogation.
  • Accuracy, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to challenge and influence.
  • Organisational and planning skills.
  • Qualified / working towards / desire to achieve AAT or equivalent.
  • Waste Industry experience would be advantageous.
In return for the Finance Administrator position, we can offer a salary of £20,000 – £27,500 plus an attractive benefits package, working within a team-orientated and collaborative environment, for a company that strives to be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.
