As Group Production Leader, reporting to our Operations Manager and responsible for up to 15 direct reports manufacturing up to 465,000 pieces weekly, you’ll be responsible for the performance management of multiple production lines, in addition to first level investigations outside of standard, SHE investigations and quality. Updating the Kronos timekeeping and attendance system, you’ll also liaise with and performance-track the service departments’ agency and stock controllers, completing risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures. Other key accountabilities of the Group Production Leader include:
• facilitating Continuous Improvement workshops
• ensuring skills matrix and training needs analysis are up-to-date
• producing the weekly labour plan
• audit compliance
• ensuring we meet production targets with adherence to the required quality, cost, delivery, people and Health & Safety metrics.
To apply for the Group Production leader, you must have demonstrable experience in a leadership role within manufacturing, encompassing multiple production lines and underpinned by a proven track record of implementing Continuous Improvement. Your knowledge and experience of cutting-edge Lean manufacturing, in addition to KPIs and quality control plans, complements your experience of financial management. Skilled at applying Health & Safety within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and with CIEH Level 3, you can also offer experience of:
• working with and applying HR procedures.
• technical processes pertinent to factories
• ideally, furniture/wood-based manufacturing.
Three-shift rotation 6-2 / 2-10 / 10-6
