In this office-based Stock Controller role which reports to our Sales Office Manager, you’ll be responsible for forward stock planning, analysing trends and forecasting, whilst channelling stock to business-critical areas. Liaising with overseas suppliers to ensure orders are manufactured within lead times will involve daily communication, in addition to customer communication to ensure paramount customer service levels are maintained. Other key accountabilities include:
• co-ordinating orders, workloads and promotions
• monitoring and reporting on clearance
• raising purchase orders
• communicating sales trends in commercial meetings.
With a proven track record in a similar role, ideally within the retail sector, you have demonstrable experience of forecasting, reporting and ‘number-crunching’, with a good eye for detail and a pro-active approach. Computer-literate in MS Office, especially in Word, Outlook and Excel, you have strong administrative skills along with:
• real commitment to teamwork
• a full, clean UK driving licence.
