Who we are
United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. We believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries.
Who we are looking for
We need reliable and passionate people to join our close-knit team of Support Workers, supporting two ladies out in the community, as well in their own homes. You’ll help them cook, maintain a healthy lifestyle, clean, pay bills, apply for jobs, make friends and a thousand things in between. The ladies in this household are looking for staff who are creative, have a flexible approach to working, have a great sense of humor, who are punctual, reliable, who share similar interests, help both ladies participate in activities both indoors and outdoors. Both ladies are fun at heart and enjoy movies, going out for meals. One lady enjoys baking and all things British bake off related, Gardening and being creative, whilst the other lady is into music, movies and going out to concerts. What we need from you
You need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect. You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to travel between locations and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and overnight as needed. You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.
