Moving forward, the charity will strive to champion needs, provide change leadership, seek out gaps in service provision and with the cooperation of like-minded partner organisations, prioritise actions aimed at addressing identified deficiencies.

Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Development and Innovation Coordinator to join our team in London. This position is for 36 hours per week and has a salary of £24,990.

Development and Innovation Coordinator key responsibilities:
  • Coordinate working groups of members and external stakeholders within the Quality Standards and Service Development work stream.
  • Manage accessibility projects on software and websites that may be used in running a charity.
  • Work with the Development and Innovation Manager to develop relationships across the private, public and voluntary sectors to support the work of Visionary.
  • Record and raise any concerns about compliance with necessary legislation, regulation, policies or procedures with your line manager including matters of safeguarding.
  • Work in line with the accounts management system whereby Visionary member organisations have a designated point of contact within Visionary.
  • Support the Development and Innovation Fund initiative by working with the manger to sort through member applications in the relevant work streams and contribute to responses.
  • Work as an effective member of the Visionary Team, contributing to all aspects of development, innovation and engagement.
  • Work cooperatively in conjunction with other Visionary staff/departments to implement the organisation’s business plan.
  • Research, collate and disseminate information on fundraising opportunities to Visionary members.
  • Develop opportunities through partnerships with organisations with fundraising specialisms for the benefit of members.

The idealDevelopment and Innovation Coordinator:
  • A good standard of general education (minimum A levels or Level 3 equivalent)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of the sight loss sector including the issues that people with sight loss and the services that assist them face across the UK
  • Experience of working in one of the following areas: a) outcome and impact measurement; b) fundraising; c) education or employment; d) campaigns
  • Experience of working with local organisations or partnership work

In return for your hard work as our Development and Innovation Coordinator, you can expect to receive a salary of £24,990 per annum plus a range of benefits.
