Salary £20-25k pa depending on experience
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced estimator who is looking to develop their career.
You will be joining a leading UK based manufacturer and supplier of performance timber doorsets; performance glazed timber screens, architectural ironmongery and access control.
Due to the continued growth of the business they are now seeking to recruit an estimator to join the commercial team, based out of the Head Office in South Shields.
The ideal candidate will come from a commercial background, however, full on the job training will be provided and you will quickly become an integral part of the commercial function.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Working with the Sales Team to ensure the production of high quality estimates for a diverse range of customers
- Working with drawings, plans, schedules and specifications & bills of materials
- Provide support and technical information for colleagues and customers offering excellent customer service
- Develop in depth knowledge of doorsets and the full product range
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues across all areas of the business
- Order control - providing 100% handovers to the contracts department upon receipt of an order.
- Customer services / relationships follow up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and responsive support.
Required Skills:
- Good numeracy skills
- Excellent PC skills
- Working on own initiative and problem solver
- Must be able to absorb information and retain, attention to detail
- Not easily distracted and able to concentrate under pressure
- Motivated, and a good communicator/negotiator
- Open, friendly and confident approach to work
- Excellent computer and IT skills; use of Microsoft Office Excel is essential
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and able to follow instructions accurately
- Demonstrate a good approach to problem solving
