Operations Manager - insurance claims / repairs, responsive repairs

Salary: £75,000 per annum plus generous benefits

Based: South West England; Predominately Poole & Yeovil

Morgan Sindall Property Services is the service division of the £2 billion Morgan Sindall Group. We work with a wide variety of public and private sector clients and specialise in the full range of insurance facility management, responsive repair and maintenance activity. Our main areas of expertise include: insurance activity, building management systems, day-to-day responsive repairs, facilities management, void property refurbishments, programmed maintenance, and electrical and gas installations, servicing and repairs.

Due to our success and growth plans we are now looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join us in the South West region, predominately Poole and Yeovil.

About The Operations Manager Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager with specific responsibility for contracts within the South West area. Reporting to the National Operations Director the role will require the successful candidate to provide direction and leadership to the operational team across a number of insurance activities, contracts and projects. Taking responsibility for the delivery of excellent operational performance and supporting our planned growth in the insurance market.

Managing both directly employed and subcontracted resources, ensuring they are managed and motivated to deliver cost effective, high quality customer focussed outputs.

Operations Manager Package:

  • The role includes a company car (Grade 3) or car allowance of £6,950

The ideal Operations Manager:

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing a regional portfolio of contracts in excess of £10m per annum across a wide geographic area. Preferably with experience in the domestic insurance repair market or social housing repair market.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities to lead a dispersed team across a wide geographic location and with experience of full responsibility and accountability for Operational Service Delivery, Health & Safety Management, Customer Relationship Management and delivering revenue, profit and cash targets.

You may have experience of the following: HS&E, Insurance and NHBC claims, Commercial Awareness Management, Project Strategy, Commercial Issues, Construction, Building Management Systems, Procurement, Risk Management, Sub-Contract co-ordination, FCA Regulation and Compliance.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and deliver effective interaction with all members of the Regional and Senior Management Teams. You will have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and ensure best practice prevails throughout the Region's activities.

Candidates must have proven experience in insurance claims / repairs, responsive repairs and maintenance; managing the development and performance of all aspects of contract operations. Candidates will also have a strong track record of maintaining and building strong customer relationships and managing multi-site workforces.
