In order to achieve this, they depend on their strong team of Consultants and Store Managers providing their expert advice and assistance to customers, ensuring they make informed decisions about which furniture is right for them.
As a Store Manager you will play an integral part of your stores success by inspiring and motivating the team to drive the business forward. You will become a brand ambassador, delivering a friendly and consultative customer experience to ensure that customers are satisfied each and every time they visit your store. Therefore, excellent communication skills, a keen interest in interior design and a personable personality are key to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities as a Store Manager include:
- Creating a strong customer service focus to ensure that the customer is central to all activities and decisions.
- Working alongside key stakeholders, making appropriate observations and recommendations to the Area Sales Manager for ranges to support new product launches
- Ensuring the team maximises sales, has agreed merchandise and promotion plans.
- Ensure that the store is well merchandised, ticketed and reaches the pre-set standards and legal requirements.
- Maintain optimum staffing levels and ensure that your staff are successfully trained to Company standards
- Carrying out inductions with all new starters
- Providing ongoing effective coaching and mentoring to all your staff
To be considered for the role of Store Manager candidates will be passionate about people and delivering excellent service, be a strong communicator and have the ability to build and maintain a successful team of motivated Consultants. In addition to this, it is essential that you have an outgoing personality, are hardworking, driven and results orientated. Previous experience within a similar role or the retail industry is desirable but not essential.
