Stone, Bishopstone & Hartwell Parish Council Invite applications for the position of Parish Clerk & Responsible Finance Officer
The successful applicant will be responsible for dealing with parish council correspondence and financial accounts, preparing the agenda for, attending, and writing the minutes of, its monthly, annual and occasional committee meetings. The Clerk will also be responsible for the administration of the parish council's cemetery, the management and booking of the parish's Jubilee Pavilion and liaising with grounds maintenance contractors and external agencies. Good literacy, numeracy, IT, communication and inter-personal skills are essential and the successful candidate would be expected to have, or be prepared to obtain a CiLCA qualification. The applicant should also demonstrate a sound knowledge of accounting packages used and financial book-keeping.
After a paid probationary period of 6 months, the salary for a 25 hr week will be based on NALC/SLCC scales, depending upon qualifications, experience and demonstrated skills.
