This position is based at our offices in Shadsworth Business Park, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB1 2QR - with site installation work at customer sites mainly in the North West of England.
Our Workshop Supervisor will organise the daily work schedules for control panel build.
Our Projects and Applications Engineer will manage the detail of on-site work.
A formal electrical or electronic qualification is required - City and Guilds 17th Edition, HNC, BTEC or equivalent.
A proven record of electrical control panel wiring using equipment such as control/switch gear, PLC's, servo and A.C Inverter drives is necessary.
The Electrical Engineer position requires knowledge of the relevant electrical and safety standards with the ability to read and understand electrical and schematic diagrams.
Good communication skills both written and verbal are essential to maintain the high level of service expected by our customers.
The following points detail the main tasks expected of this Electrical Engineer position but are not limited to the items listed. Other activities may be required dependant on customer and company requirements;
- Layout and wire control panels or systems
- Test and document all relevant work
- Carry out on-site installation of control panels
- Adhere to company and customer health and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Maintain a professional image to both customers and other members of staff
- Attend any product, technical training and staff development courses
£10.00 to £12.00 per hour based on a standard 37.5 hour week Mon – Fri. Some installation work may be required at weekends and overtime may be available and would be paid at a structured additional rate.
