Our client is currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Carrying out analysis of business requirements for all technology related developments, you will lead relationships within the business, external suppliers and technical teams to ensure that all new developments meet business requirements in terms of deliverables, timescales and costs.
Developing the project plan, using approved Prince 2 methodology, covering all aspects and both internal and external users, you must identify phases and milestones, and ensure appropriate management processes and authorities as part of plan. Utilising agreed methodology in accordance with company strategy and guidance of contracted supplier, you must ensure that change controls are in place and adhered to and constantly review and examine progress, identifying all risks or problems with project plan and implementation and escalating risks if necessary.
Delivering agreed benefits of projects to satisfaction of stakeholders, you must communicate effectively with internal and external users/stakeholders/suppliers to understand requirements and, through influencing and relationship management, arrive at the optimal business solution, balancing requirements, business benefit, timescales and costs. Gathering user requirements via interviews, meetings, workshops and written submissions for all business systems used by the business, you must produce business cases with costs and benefits for required changes, and champion through the authority process and with project sponsor/project board.
Candidates should be BCS certified Business Analysts and hold a Prince 2 or similar qualification coupled with experience in project managing IT projects and in the analysis of business requirements and processes for IT systems with a strong user focus. With a good understanding of IT systems and applications across a breadth of technologies, you must also have knowledge of business diagnostic tools and be able to manage projects effectively with clearly defined outcomes, timelines and monitoring process to achieve project deadlines. Exposure to SQL and reporting tools such as Qlikview, Crystal Reports is also essential.
