27 hours per week, ideally worked as five and half hours per day, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10.30am - 4.30pm term time only and

Wednesday 11.00am - 5.00pm term time only

Salary level: Point 28-30, £14,180 - £14,765 (£22,047-£23,381 fte)

We are looking for a proactive and empathetic individual to join the Student Services Team in this recently created role. The successful applicant will work closely with the Student Counsellor and the Student Independent Learning Officer and the wider Student Services and Guidance Teams.  The post holder will need to demonstrate a real commitment to meeting the needs of students with understanding and to delivering exceptional service through a positive, solution-focused approach.

As well as providing drop-in sessions for students, this role will play a lead part in the Colleges' Mental Health Steering Group and will provide an important listening and triaging service for students.

This role would suit you if you enjoy working with young people, understand the pressures and anxieties that young people experience and relish the challenge of a fast-paced environment. The ability to react calmly and sensitively; to prioritise effectively and to communicate successfully with students and staff will be key.
