An Assistant Team Leader/Support Worker and Bank Support Worker are required to support our client, a 27 year old man, who lives in his own home in Weston-Super-Mare. Our client has significant mobility and cognitive impairments. He is a wheelchair user and needs assistance with all aspects of his personal and daily care. He requires two to one support in his own home as well as out in the community.
Bank Support Worker role:
To meet all aspects of care and support relating to our client. The carer is expected to implement care as advised by his team of therapists and record information relating to this as advised.
Assistant Team Leader/Support Worker role:
Alongside providing hands on support work, our client requires an enthusiastic Assistant Team Leader to assist the Team Leader in managing the client's support team. Responsibilities include supporting the Team Leader with the day to day management of the team, including rotas and cover arrangements, and assisting with the necessary paperwork for the client and the team.
Attributes:
*Physically fit for moving and handling, able to provide safe, effective care and support to our client in his home environment, experienced/able to understand mental health issues and of the principles of rehabilitation, aptitude and desire to work with adults with complex needs, confident about working in the client's own home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of his parents, able to demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and to respect client and family's need for privacy, reliable and trustworthy.
Full driving license to drive in the UK (endorsements to be disclosed) and able to drive the clients adapted vehicle.
Hours:
Bank Support Worker role: Bank hours which are variable and ad hoc to meet the needs of the client from Monday - Sunday.
Assistant Team Leader/Support Worker role: 28 hours per week to be worked Monday - Sunday.
Bank Support Worker Pay:
Monday to Friday - GBP10.00 per hour, Weekends - GBP12.00 per hour and National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage (dependent on your age) per hour, Sleeping Nights - Monday - Sunday, 10.00pm - 8.00am
Support Worker/Assistant Team Leader Pay:
Monday to Friday - GBP11.00 per hour, Weekends - GBP12.50 per hour and National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage (dependent on your age) per hour, Sleeping Nights - Monday - Sunday, 10.00pm - 8.00am
