The Management Accountant will provide hands on assistance to the Finance Manager and support to the finance team to ensure a quality service is being provided to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Management Accountant will support the day to day workings of the finance team enabling improved business performance, profitability and future growth as well as effective, accurate and timely processing of financial information.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparation of the monthly management accounts
Prepayments and accruals
Reviewing the actuals with the Regional Managers
Investigate/analyse costs
Variance analysis to budget
Bank Reconciliations
Present results to Finance Manager
Production of Management accounts for the smaller entities
Monitoring NHS Contracts and other income to ensure revenue is recorded accurately
Completing balance sheet reconciliations for review by the Finance Manager
Maintaining and controlling the Fixed Asset register
Petty cash Reconciliation
To update the Performance management forecasting sheet
Assisting the Finance Manager in comprising annual budgets and forecasts where necessary
Analysing the cost of utilities for all Practices and provide solutions on cost savings
Responsibility of Finance 4 patients, ensuring Practices are notified when monies received
Ensuring Business rates are fully paid and claimed from the BSA
Maintain the rents and service charges file
Provide monthly summaries to the operations team
Assisting in related project work
Any other duties to support the Finance Manager to ensure an efficient output and control of accounting functions
Ideal Candidate:
Finalist of a professional accounting qualification (ACCA,CIMA)
Highly organised individual with the ability to work in a team and on their own initiative
