Job Role:

Working as part of the existing development team this role will involve the design and development of internal and client software to support the needs of the business along with the re-development of legacy applications.

You should have the ability to design, develop and support application software and reports for the business. You will be required to produce initial documentation and specification through to the delivery of the final product. You will also be required to support both existing and new applications using the most efficient and appropriate technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilising captured requirements, develop, amend and maintain new and existing software.
• Ensure that systems are designed, developed and supported in line with our policies, standards and procedures.
• Contribute to continual improvement of internal development practices.
• Working as a member of the development team, communicating progress against milestones.
• To be a strong team player.
• Be able to work within a small and demanding team environment without significant direction
• To have a flexible approach to be able to support the priorities of the business.

Key Requirements:

• Microsoft SQL - Along with a good understanding of the SQL Server architecture.
• . NET - Including C#, VB, ASP. NET, EF, ADO. NET.
• Full project life-cycle experience from concept through development, testing and onto post-implementation support.
• Enthusiastic with a passion for developing software, having great attention to detail with excellent written and verbal skills.
• The ability to organise oneself to manage a diverse workload effectively.
• The ability to work under pressure in an environment with varying deadlines.
• Classic ASP
• Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
• Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services
• Source Control
• Software development methodologies, processes and tools (Agile, Waterfall, etc)
• HTML, CSS, VBScript, JavaScript
