Our client is a successful and forward looking company in the busy fitout market based in Uxbridge, Middlesex. They are trade sub contractors to some of the most professional and prestigious management contractors in this sector and seen as one of the top three companies in their field of raised access flooring. Their strength is their on site delivery and installation service.

The quality of service and response is key to their continued growth, and the Logistics Planner will be key in maintaining this reputation. This is a busy role - the role has dual responsibilities and the successful candidate will manage the supply chaine management and plan deliveries

Supply chain:
Purchase materials, ensuring PO???s are placed with accurate delivery date requirement information and delivered on time
Negotiate costs with suppliers to meet budget and deliver best financial deal
Manage supply base to ensure potential risks to the supply of products are identified and contingencies are put into effect to mitigate these
Keep abreast of market changes that could impact on costs and future strategic purchasing
Manage New supplier approval process and ensure internal audit controls are followed

Order materials using selection of carriers
Take project delivery responsibility for the on-time-in-full delivery of materials and services
Ensure company stays within material costs for projects
Ensure all compliance and maintenance is up to date and in line with regulations
Comply with relevant legislation, ensuring vehicle is maintained in line with legal requirements, and within driver's working time

Understanding purchasing processes and practices
Excellent planning, organisation, analytical and negotiation and numerical skills
Degree level education or equivalent
Minimum 1 years' experience in procurement/logistics
Computer skills - Excel / Word/MS Projects
