The company is a leader in the field of tanning products in the niche professional tanning industry, and is seeking a highly driven person to lead a strong team of employed and self employed individuals into channel distribution in the UK. The business, with an already strong brand presence, has launched exciting new products lines and is beginning a new era of growth. Reporting to the CEO and a member of the senior leadership team, this exciting new position will be instrumental in identifying opportunities and driving sales growth in wholesale and distribution across a number of key channels.

The Role
With responsibility for a team of 12, your primary role will be to grow and drive sales and profitability in the existing UK distribution network and to develop new customers in UK distribution and key accounts. This will include:
- Sales and margin growth, maintaining current customer base and expanding via agreed channels.
- To lead, develop, motivate a team of employed (and self-employed) colleagues both in house and field based.
- To train, coach and mentor the team and develop strong working relationships.
- To identify client needs and provide business support and service excellence, which meets and exceeds core lagging and leading KPIs and revenue targets.
- Responsible for distribution network development, training, and sales both within the UK and internationally, which includes adhering to brand standards and contractual arrangements.
- Presenting monthly sales data, attending leadership management meetings and creating strategic outputs that link into overall business goals.

The Person
- A minimum of 2 years proven experience of working within the hair and/or beauty whole industry is essential.
- Must have proven experience of working within distribution and wholesale within the beauty industry and already have established relationships within this area.
- A proven track record of selling, winning and growing accounts
- Team management skills, successful at motivating and growing an internal/external sales team
- A team placer with a collaborative style
- Highly driven and self-motivated, wants to achieve business success
- Tenacious with the ability to delve into a customer, their buying behaviours and the product ranges they stock
- The willingness to travel and be available at short notice.
