Based in South Shields
This is a fantastic opportunity for either a Graduate or Junior AutoCAD Technician who is looking to develop their career.
You will be joining a leading UK based manufacturer and supplier of performance timber doorsets; performance glazed timber screens; space and privacy management and architectural ironmongery and access control.
Due to the continued growth of the business they are now seeking to recruit a Junior CAD Technician to join their Head Office team based in South Shields.
As an ideal candidate you will be confident using AutoCAD software, however, full on the job training will be provided and you will quickly become an integral part of the design team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Working with the Commercial Manager to ensure the production of high quality technical drawings for both the manufacturing team and customers
- Provide support and technical information for colleagues and customers offering excellent cUstomer service
- Develop in depth knowledge of doorsets and the full product range
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues across all areas of the business
- Produce drawings to construction grade
- Assimilating to scheduled information
Required Skills:
- Have a good understanding of AutoCAD 2D software
- Additional knowledge of Photoshop would be an advantage but not essential
- Excellent computer and IT skills; use of Microsoft Office Excel is essential
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and able to follow instructions accurately
- Demonstrate a good approach to problem solving
