Senior Engineer

This Data acquistion and failure analysis provider is looking to recruit a Senior Test Engineer.

You will be supporting and managing a team of test engineers who deliver projects from single channels to many hundreds of channels. These data acquisition projects are supplied into all facets of engineering.

Good knowledge of strain gauging required. You may be able to gauge but can you create a gauging solution? If you know your half bridge from full bridge, you shear from your torque, please apply.

Senior Test Engineer - Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Position is based in Sheffield but international and domestic travel is required. Flexible working hours.

Duties / Responsibilities will include:

- Deliver test data to support client's requirements. This will include finite element validation, durability testing and investigation work.
- Creating test solutions and ensuring these are executed to the highest standards for aerospace, land vehicles, power generation and civil structures.
- Analysis of data for pedigree check, statistical data reporting, data reduction, automated reporting and high level analysis using nCode Glyphworks.
- Be able to lead from the front and gain the respect of those around you.

Qualification & Experience required
- No degree required as experience is way more beneficial.
- Good practical engineering knowledge. This position is hands on and you must be able to work with and lead a team.
- Fundamentals of instrumentation, accelerometers, load-cells, instrumentation diagnostics.
- A knowledge of telemetry is beneficial.
- Data acquisition and/or manipulation of physical data on IMC, HBM or Somat system
- A good communicator at both client and colleague level.
