This dynamic and versatile firm providing first class support to small and medium sized businesses is currently looking for a modern and forward thinking accounts senior to work in their office in Pulborough, West Sussex.

The Role:
- Working closely with a variety of clients and providing an outstanding service at all times.
- Working from client's offices as well as head office and attending client meetings as required.
- Working with Virtual Office staff and supporting their contribution to our business and client base.
- Helping clients improve their systems and understand what they need from them.
- Preparation of management accounts, cash flows and financial information for limited companies using excel and cloud software, including corporation tax calculations, balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
- Preparation of income and expenditure accounts for sole traders
- Completion of self-assessment tax returns.
- Working closely with other members of the team on specific projects.
- Delegating and training junior team members.
- Helping to develop systems and processes for internal use.

They believe that quality data is the key to quality businesses and therefore the successful candidate will have an extremely well developed understanding of accounting from the ground up - you will be expected to take the work from ground level bookkeeping to management reporting and preparation of draft accounts.

The Candidate:
- Advanced bookkeeping/accounts qualifications will be an advantage and you must have at least three years' relevant experience.
- If you are not qualified, or are currently undertaking your qualifications, you must be able to prove a minimum of three years' relevant experience working as a bookkeeper/accounts senior in practice.
- You will have a very good technical knowledge of accounting and accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, with sound experience in producing and interpreting management reports and be experienced in all aspects of bookkeeping.
- They are a modern practice embracing cloud technology, therefore you must be very computer literate and able to adapt easily to varying accounting systems - their predominant system is Xero but flexibility in this area is key. You will be able to use excel to a high level.

- You will be a team player and enjoy working in a relaxed environment.
- You will be flexible and adaptable and willing to 'muck-in' to help this practice achieve their goals.
- You will commit to promoting development and understanding in both clients and your team.
