Our client’s studio is a newly established practice looking for talented staff for interesting projects. They currently have a vacancy for an experienced Part III Architect / post Part II Architectural Assistant in their friendly satellite studio in Amersham due to their growing portfolio of high end residential projects.
Applicants should have at least three years' post Part-II / Part-III UK experience in leading and managing projects –preferably residential - from concept design stage, through detail and technical design and tendering, and overseeing construction and completion – as defined by the RIBA Plan of Work.
The successful applicant should have strong sense of design and be able to show the ability to work through technical issues and be familiar with relevant codes and UK building regulations. Your job will entail liaising with clients, consultants, planners and the construction team so you should be confident, professional, friendly and a good team-worker and should demonstrate excellent written, graphic and verbal communication skills.
Experience in using AutoCAD or Microstation, Sketch Up, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop necessary.
The position will offer the right candidate the opportunity to run their own projects and to develop their career, with the possibility of working in our client’s head office in London and becoming involved in the practice management team in the future.
Starting salary according to age and experience – up to £30,000.
Architect - The ideal candidate should:
• Have worked in the UK in residential design for at least 3 years.
• Live no further than 30mins travel from Amersham.
• Be self-sufficient and able to operate on their own initiative.
• Be confident in dealing with High Net Worth individuals and able to communicate confidently and effectively with them.
