As a foster carer you are required to nurture and care for children and young people within your own home and as part of your own family. Applicants must have a spare room for fostering. Must not have any criminal offences against children and must be prepared to have an enhanced police criminal offences check. Previous experience working or caring for children or young people is desirable but not essential. Must be aged over 21 years.
Foster carers are required to exercise parental duties including supporting the child or young persons health, schooling, clothing and diet, supporting the child with relationships including promoting contact with birth families - where appropriate.
Foster carers will receive excellent, training, guidance and support 24 hours / 7 days per week.
Successful applicants to foster will receive a weekly payment to reimburse the carer for the child or young persons living costs and as a financial reward for each child they are able to care for.
