Advocate and Participation Worker

SEA (Services for Empowerment and Advocacy) is an independent advocacy and participation service working across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.  SEA is a Community Interest Company.

We enable people within housing, health and social care settings to have a voice and participate within the services they receive.  We believe that enabling people to have their say influences change at a grass roots and strategic level.

This role is crucial in enabling our organisation to continue to deliver a high quality and person centred service.

The role involves:

  • Supporting individuals in getting heard and ensuring they receive an appropriate response
  • Promoting, attending and facilitating a variety of forums and meetings
  • Supporting people to have a strategic voice within services and systems
  • Organising, developing and delivering training sessions to a variety of audiences
  • Ensuring that professional boundaries between workers and people who access services are upheld at all times.


Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: £21,000 per annum pro rata
