Finance Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Based at the National Watersports Centre, Holme Pierrepont
Part time: 20 Hours per week (Fixed term contract December 2016 to December 2017)
Salary: £16,000, (pro rata), dependent upon experience
British Canoeing are seeking to recruit a part time position to cover a period of maternity leave, you will provide support to the Finance Manager and Finance Officer. The role will involve maintaining the cash book and banking process including accurately updating of the accounting system.
You will be responsible for inputting and maintaining purchase invoices and expenses in accordance with finance procedures. You will also manage and issue sales invoices and chase payment where necessary as well as providing financial information and support to the British Canoeing competition committees.
The role will involve occasional weekend admin support to British Canoeing competition events (max 4-5 times per annum).
You will need to be friendly and outgoing and able to show strong attention to detail in all your work. You will be highly organised, have excellent record keeping skills and be willing to work flexibly as part of a small friendly team. A good working knowledge of Excel and Word is required and knowledge of Sage Line 50 is desirable.
Due to the nature of the role, some flexibility will be possible on the days and hours worked. Please clearly state your preferred working pattern on your application.
