What is the role?

You could join us as a Receptionist at Staplewood Campus; our state of the art, training ground facility in Marchwood, Southampton. You will have responsibility for the front of house operations working within a small team of receptionists. Using your existing experience and knowledge you will deliver the highest standard of service, both face to face and over the telephone. You will be the first point of contact for Southampton Football Club offering the highest level of service to welcome guests. 

You will be responsible for liaising with Security regarding visitor arrivals and meet and greet clients into the building. You will book taxis or drivers for clients and Senior Management as and when required. You will coordinate the arrangement of meetings rooms, provide refreshments as requested and manage all incoming calls, post and deliveries. You will ensure adequate levels of stationery are maintained and keep kitchen facilities topped up at all times. 

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills and excellent organisation skills. You will provide welcoming hospitality at all times and have the ability to prioritise and multi task whilst maintaining high service levels. As a member of a small team you will be a flexible team player so as to ensure responsibilities across the Administration department are covered at all times.

The ideal candidate must have experience of delivering a first class service whilst maintaining a high standard of presentation as well as remaining calm and professional at all times. The successful candidate will represent the brand and therefore must take pride in their own presentation.

The competencies which are required include:

Experience Essential:
• At least two years’ experience of working within a first class environment in a Receptionist role.

Qualifications (incl. certifications) Desirable:
• Grade A-C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• NVQ in Customer Service or Business Administration

Skills Essential:
• Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.
• Exceptional telephone manner.
• Works well under pressure to meet conflicting deadlines.
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office in particular)
• Confident individual with a drive to succeed.
