This company is the industry leader of imported exclusive tyre brands, including Davanti, Evergreen and Landsail. Established in 1980, the company has grown rapidly over recent years, with over 270 staff and turnover of £70 million.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Goods-out Manager to join the team at their Haydock depot. As Goods-out Manager you will be responsible for the overall running of the goods-out area. You will be responsible for communicating with the sales team to ensure all van runs leave on time and are holding the correct items.

Your duties will include:
- Assisting the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day running of the warehouse.
- Managing approximately 50 staff.
- Communicate effectively with field and telesales teams.
- Manage the dispatch area to ensure all required items are picked correctly and available for loading in time for the vans loading slot.
- Ensure vans are loaded correctly and have management ability to resolve any errors if they do occur.
- Ensure all van runs leave the depot on time for their run.
- Monitoring of company vehicles.
- Optimise staff productivity to manage costs.
- Train staff so they always provide the best possible customer service.
- Reporting of any damage or vehicle faults to the Transport Manager.
- Assist drivers with route planning when it is necessary.
- Train supervisors and warehouse staff so they are capable of managing the dispatch area in your absence.
- Picking of stock when the needs of the business require it.
- Stock Integrity
- Compliance with company policies.
- Enforcement of security policies and procedures.
- Ensure Health and Safety rules are adhered to.
- Develop and maintain a high level of housekeeping in the dispatch area.
- Assist in ensuring that staff cover remains adequate at all times.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and order through-out the warehouse, particularly around the goods-out area.
- Working 48 hours a week over 5 ½ days. You would be required to work Monday - Friday and Saturday morning. Working hours will generally be worked between the hours of 6am and 7:30pm.

Requirements
- Full UK driver's licence is required. A clean licence is preferred but we will consider applicants with points, depending on the amount incurred and the nature of the offences committed.
- Flexible working attitude. You may be required to work beyond the normal hours depending on the needs of the company.
- Must have the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Other Information
- 20 days holiday per year accrued pro-rata.
- 30 minute lunch break each day.
- FLT licence would be beneficial for the role but training could be provided to the right candidate.
- Experience in the tyre industry is preferable.
