Butcher and Production Operative - Afternoon Shift

Our client, a successful, fast growing Catering Butcher is currently seeking Butchers and Production Operatives for their Afternoon Shift.

Working Hours: 45 per Week, 2:00pm to midnight, Monday to Friday

Butchery Role:

As a highly skilled Butcher you will be preparing bespoke orders on a butcher’s block within a team of between 7 and 14 production personnel who will work with you in a traditional butchery, shift based factory environment.

Ideally you will have originally trained or completed an apprenticeship as a Butcher. You will be both talented and enthusiastic about butchery, preferably with experience working on fresh meat production for catering establishments.

Production Operative Role:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor or Manager you will be trained in the preparation of fresh and frozen produce to a high standard and to individual customer bespoke specification for supply to both retail and the catering trade. You will work within a team of approximately 8 Production Operatives who work in a challenging, traditional butchery and shift based factory environment.

Duties include picking, packing, weighing and labelling products, to standards assigned to you by your Supervisor / Manager.

You will also be required to perform general Production Operative tasks which may include; cleaning of machinery, work surfaces and the factory.
