SPECIALIST SUPPORT ASSISTANT AND LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS
Required for our unique SEND Resource Facility

Priory School is a large, inclusive primary school, with over 900 pupils. The school has a 60 place resource unit for children with a range of complex needs, including physical, sensory and medical difficulties, ASO and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS
We have a number of vacancies for people with a positive attitude and a can do approach. You will be required to support children's independent learning and progress and work as part of a team to support the class teacher.

The people we are looking for will:
• Be enthusiastic, highly motivated and bring a sense of energy and passion to the role
• Have the ability to use their initiative to work independently and flexibly
• Have experience of working with children
• Enjoy working with children and be able to form good relationships with children and adults

Salary Level 2 SCP10 (GBP16,121 FTE, GBP12,133 actual) 33.5 hours (8.30 am until 3.30 pm) per week, term time plus 5 INSET). In addition, our Learning Support Assistants provide 1 duty cover per week in our Extended Care facility, which operates 7.30am - 9.00am and 15:30 - 18:00.

SPECIALIST SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Are you an experienced Specialist Support Assistant? We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced practitioner who has experience of working with children with complex needs and who will take a lead on therapy input, which is integrated into our classrooms.

You will have preferably worked in a UK Primary school and will have a good knowledge of Key Stage 1 and 2 learning, You will need to have good written and spoken English and be confident in supporting Literacy and Numeracy.

Salary Level 4 SC P 19 - 22 (GBP19,443 to GBP21,339 FTE, GBP16.503 - GBP18,112 actual 37 hours per week, term time only, plus INSET)

Both roles require a candidate to have a good level of general education - It Is essential you are able to demonstrate you have achieved a minimum of English and Maths at GCSE Grade C or equivalent. In addition the successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be flexible, hard-working and be able to work as part of team.
