Salary: £8.00 - £8.30 per hour
This local charity is looking for people who have a friendly, encouraging, supportive and easy going attitude as well as good communication skills and the enthusiasm to engage with young people with learning disabilities.
You would be working as a Community Youth Worker at one of their Kool Clubs, which run on a Saturday each week. There are also opportunities during the school holidays to work with the young people on their non-residential school holiday programme. As a Community Youth Worker, you would be supporting in a variety of activities to give them opportunities for learning, having fun, developing their independent skills and building relationships.
Ideally they are looking for people who have the flexibility to work at both their Totnes and Paignton sites and have previous experience of working with young people with learning disabilities.
Young people are at the heart of everything that they do so if you share this passion they would love to hear from you.
They are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and they expect all staff to share this commitment. For this post, pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
